Maple Caramel Sauce
Try this heavenly blend on bread pudding, ice cream, poundcake… or your fingers.
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/3 cup Silk Unsweetened, Original or DHA Omega-3 & Calcium
- 3-4 Tbsp. additional Silk
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or unsalted butter
PREPARATION
In a small saucepan, heat the butter, sugar, maple syrup and corn syrup until it comes to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and whisk in the 1/3 cup Silk. Do not be concerned if the sauce clumps; this is normal. Bring the mixture back to a simmer and cook, stirring constantly, for an additional 5 minutes to smooth out the lumps. Whisk in 3-4 tablespoons of additional Silk to achieve desired consistency. Serve warm or at room temperature.
